NOT the National Security Agency, but since Teddy can be a little windy, it's a flag for Not-Short Answer. This means make sure your sitting down before you start reading.
ONE-L - First Lifer
A peep or critter that is actually alive on earth (e.g. not an earthbound).
In Teddy's parlance, a ONE-L (1L) is somebody who "ain't dead yet."
Other Place (OP)
Those up here who watch way too much television call it 'The OP'. What The Other Place really means is:
- Hell
- Hades
RGP
This is a Really Good Person. When an RGP is in trouble in the Trench, all Siders are expected to help if they can (even knowing that an RGP will go directly Uptown when they pass.)
Sider
Siders are residents of Heaven's Lower East Side. All Siders have what you might call "unique" talents. These might be the same talents that would have sent them to The Other Place if not for that one redeeming quality. All Siders have many opportunities to help them make the move Uptown,
Sidespeak
Colloquial language and terminology of the Siders. Most of the entries in this glossary are Sidespeak. Sidespeak is also called 'SS' or 'The Lingo'.
SPH - Special Place in Hell
There are Special Places in Hell for "special" people...

This is a list of names that for some reason is really important in the Trench. It's a list of a few hundred Trenchmites who have a lot of stuff and want more. Pretty silly, from our point of view. Everyone below #1 is just doing everything they can to get to the next rank. The guy (it never seems to be a woman, hmmm...)
